highlights of the trip:

* time between deciding about leaving to chennai and actual leaving was less than an hour.
* travelled more than 720kms (~725) in a day.
* reached 180kmph speed.
* my first visit to chennai.

Car in which we went was `ford ikon', people avati and me.

shivana samudra and jog falls

Shivanasamudra :
On 15th August, 2 cars(alto, ikon), 9 ppl(avati, gowda, teju, ane, bhukamp, koLi, pinka, honnu, me). Just went to Gaganachukki, there was a big traffic jam to reach barachukki. so, came back.

JogFalls and more:
Left b'lore on 16th night, in two cars (alto and ikon), while going we were 8ppl (kris, avati, naga, pammu, gowda, vikki, ritu and me). This was special in some sense as this is the first time, our gang went with a girl. Thanks to ritu, who decided to join us, even though she didn't knew anyone there other than me.
On 17th morning we had breakfast in sagar and went to my native. We all rested for a while and after getting up, had bath, and lunch. after lunch left to JogFalls. My bro Shreedhar and cousin Anil joined us. For our disappointment there was not much water at Jog. But it was royal enough to enjoy. We all went down to the bottom. While coming back, we were the last one. Thanks to Ritu.
That day night, gowda went back to his native, with Vikki. Bhatta joined us after that (~10pm). After that we played poker till 2.30am, After that we spoke about lots of interesting things till 4am. Later slept. Next day it was noon when everyone got up.
Again on 18th, went to Jog in the evening, this time it was not the 'neeru' which was of interest, but 'neere' :p anyways, covered raja seat and went to british bunglow this time. Also saw the waterfalls, sleeping on the rock. It was a great feeling. While getting back home, spent some time watching lights on the dam from the top of the valley. In the night, after dinner went for a walk. It was awesome as ppl started telling stories one after another about ghosts etc. Ritu was scared to the core. After getting back home, lots of things happened. Gowda stole the show beating others hands down. It was totally fun.
Next day, we went on hill next to my place, watched linganamakki backwaters. There we had a session of dancing by raksha (my cousin) and gowda :) for videos contact me :p

reaching eastern coast - trip to pondicherry

No. of days : 3 (27, 28 and 29th of July, 2007)
No. of people : 4 (Guru, Gowda, Pramod and me)
No. of vehicles: 2 (Alto and Thunderbird)
Distance travelled: 797km on bike(334, 434, 797 on end of each day), 900km on car :O (103 extra traveling in car is due to local travelling in pondy).

Places covered: Pondicherry and Mamallapuram (also known as mahabalipuram).

Few points about the trip:
* My first visit to eastern coast (other than kanyakumari, which actually is south).
* First time rode bike in *heavy* rain. Rode it for more than an hour in rain :O
* Almost dry trip when it comes to alcohol (just two tins of KF is not alcohol at all :p)
* Riding bike at an average speed of 100+ is an awesome feeling.
* Rode bike alone for more than 500kms.
* Mostly my last bike trip.

bike completes 10000kms on road

I got it on August 26th, 2006. And its almost 9months now. I didn't ride it for 3months when I was in venezuela.

Overall, after getting him, it was a great company. Few highlights of the bike trip may be
* Numerous visits to Maddur/Mandya coffee day. (countless)
* Two trips to Mysore. (~700kms)
* Trip to Bluff (GaganaChukki/Barachukki) falls. (~340kms)
* Two visits to Native (350kms from b'lore). (~1400kms)
* Pune, Mahabaleswar trip. (2310kms)
* Kanyakumari trip.(1575kms)

This makes the long ride on the bike more than 65% of the time :) I rock :D

Other than riding part, sadly it had less than 2% of the time any female on its backseat. :|

Tuxedo'05

It was nice.

Friday evening left early from office, met hagarth and kris in an auto @ richmond circle, went to busstand, got a bus to mysore. In bus, helped kris to laugh :) talked with hagarth about life, books and lot more. Reached Mysore at 11pm, went to Harsha's room. He had got a parcel of veg pulao and curd rice. But I thought I will have some drinks before having food, so had vodka with harsha and shishir(who had old monk).
Good, after this saw movie "requiem for a dream", by that time it was 2.30am, slept. Went to college next day. Met few seniors and many juniors. Went out for lunch. Attended quiz in evening (not as a competitor). Went out with organisers for dinner to "green leaf". Me, hagarth and avati shared the bill :)
Night, saw movie "the shawshank redemption", slept at 2.25am. Got up, went to college for seeing gdb finals. Avati was giving them the problem to solve. Left to lunch, left mysore by evening.
A nice break after a busy week.

Gokarna, murDeshwara

Been to this place this Sunday. I had not been to Gokarna before, but for MurDeshwara, its my 4th trip. It was nice trip. I wonder about RNS's faith (or just Money), he is spending too much in murdeshwara to make it a tourist place. Gokarna, I went to Om beach. It was good.

sangam

Continuous 4th week going outside b'lore. This time, the planned destination was Sangam and Makedaatu. Planned to go there on bikes, but we couldn't arrange bikes, so finally decided to go on bus. Other people with me were, Pammu, Guru and Keppa (oh! sorry Manu). Major motivation for the trip was guru, as he got his new Nikon SLR camera.
This is one of the flop trip I had been to. We struggled as there were no direct buses to that place. Later after reaching Sangam, we came to know that going to Makedaatu is not possible as the river Arkavathi is flowing madly, it was full and fast. Bad thing is we couldn't get into water in Sangam also as the water was completely muddy, and was not safe to step in.
Came back to b'lore and slept as I had got headache by the time i reached b'lore.
